Here’s why the Golden State Warriors won’t win 73 games this season.

The NBA regular season has finally arrived and the Golden State Warriors will begin their quest for another championship. No one will forget the season that they had last year, where they won 73 games and lost a heartbreaking lead in the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

This year, the Warriors have reloaded an already great roster and have added Kevin Durant to the mix. By adding Durant, people have high expectations for Golden State. However, winning 73 games again shouldn’t be one of those expectations. Here’s why the Golden State Warriors won’t win 73 games.

5. They will rest players

Steve Kerr isn’t going to let his guys drain themselves this year in pursuit of history. It took a major toll on the Warriors last year and this team was just not fresh once the playoffs began. They were fatigued and it really took a lot out of them.

If anything, Kerr’s going to be very judicious and make sure his guys are getting all the rest they need. The regular season can be a bit of a chore for players and getting guys a night off is going to be at the top of his priorities, even if it means they don’t win as many games as last season.
