Twitter has announced that Vine will be discontinued. The Internet has gone into mourning, and the in-memoriam posts are pouring in.
Earlier today, Twitter shared the news that it will be shutting down Vine, the social media platform that allowed its users to create short looped video clips.
This news has now gone viral, and both people and organizations have come together on Twitter to remember the greatness that was Vine.
One is left to wonder why Twitter would move to get rid of an app that millions enjoyed. While the fun of everything some day comes to an end, it seems premature. Perhaps it had something to do with Twitter trying to expand into live sports.
In the end, we are left with a huge hole in our hearts. We want hilarious videos that only take a few seconds out of our day. This was something that helped all of us get through the work week. Now what are we supposed to do? Actually work? Can’t do it.
Some are still grieving.
My only hope for my future children was for them to grow up to be Vine stars. What is left for them now? Devastated.
