DraftKings daily picks: Fantasy basketball lineup-October 28
High Salary PF
Anthony Davis-New Orleans Pelicans (10,900): Yes, Anthony Davis is injury-prone, but just in case everyone forgot how good he can be when he’s healthy he went out and threw down almost 100 fantasy points to open the season. Davis scored 50 points against the Nuggets and added 16 boards, seven steals, five assists, and four blocks. It may have been the fantasy performance of the season, but Davis will look to follow it up with another monster night tonight. The Pelicans will need him to go into beast mode again since they’ll be taking on the Warriors. While I’m obviously aware of the insane upside with Davis, I’m not convinced he’ll go off again, and his 10K salary makes him extremely hard to pair with other stars. ∗∗∗
Myles Turner-Indiana Pacers (7,100): Turner has gotten a ton of hype coming into the season, but he lived up to it for at least the season opener. He came out firing against the Mavericks on Wednesday and ended up with the third-best fantasy points of the night behind two guys named Davis and Harden.
Turner finished with 30 points, 16 rebounds, four blocks, and two steals in his dominant performance while sticking an impressive 64.5 fantasy points on the board to start waht could be his breakout season. Turner went on an impressive run last season and was the hottest DFS play for a few weeks. He could be starting the year with similar momentum, and he’ll look to keep it rolling tonight in a great matchup against the Nets in what should be one of the highest scoring games of the night. ∗∗∗∗∗
Ryan Anderson-Houston Rockets (6,300): Anderson is a great fit for Mike D’Antoni’s system and he played 34 minutes in the Rockets’ season opening loss to the Lakers. He finished with 14 points, six rebounds, two steals, and an assist. He should give solid scoring and good three-point production all year long in the shoot-first Houston attack. Tonight, he’ll get a good matchup with the Mavs in a Texas-sized rivalry in big D.∗∗∗∗
Dirk Nowitzki-Dallas Mavericks (6,000):Dirk was in vintage form on opening night against the Pacers notching 22 points, eight rebounds, two assists, two blocks, and two steals. He played 38 minutes looking spry against the Pacers. He’ll definitely be ready to roll tonight in Dallas’s home-opener against the Rockets, and he’s a solid value at this price point.∗∗∗∗
