Lions at Texans live stream: How to watch online
The Houston Texans host the revitalized Detroit Lions this Sunday. Check here where you can watch these teams square off.
The Houston Texans return home after Monday night’s disappointing loss at Denver to face the Detroit Lions. It’s a team that has rebounded from three straight losses with three consecutive victories.
On Sunday at Ford Field, quarterback Matthew Stafford found veteran wideout Anquan Boldin from 18 yards with 16 seconds to play. It was the deciding touchdown in a 20-17 victory over the Washington Redskins. Now Jim Caldwell’s club now sits at 4-3 and right in the thick of the NFC North race.
Stafford has thrown for eight scores and hasn’t been picked off during the team’s three-game winning streak. Dating back to Week 10 of 2015, the eight-year pro has served up 34 TD passes compared to six interceptions in his last 15 games. The team owns a 10-5 record over that span.

In reality, the Texans have been somewhat predictable in the fact that the team has been unscathed at home (4-0) and unresponsive on the road (0-3). The contrast has been interesting. O’Brien’s club has outscored its opponents 95-69 in their four wins while the Texans have been outscored 85-22 in their three losses. The team failed to score a touchdown in the losses to the New England Patriots (27-0) and Denver Broncos (27-9).
What has also been disappointing is the play of quarterback Brock Osweiler. He’s had some moments this season but they have been far and few between. He’s committed at least one turnover in each of the team’s seven contests this year and his eight touchdown passes has been offset by eight interceptions and one lost fumble.

Here’s what we do know and it will be interesting to see if it continues. All seven of the Lions’ games this season have been decided by seven points or less – the last four by three points or less. Caldwell’s team has scored 170 points and allowed 170 points. All told, it figures to be a fascinating afternoon in Houston as the Texans look to cool off Stafford’s hot hand.
