New Gears of War 4 maps are coming (Video)

Xbox has revealed two new maps that are coming to Gears of War 4 and for fans of the third game, this is something you can look forward to.

Throughout the years, many games in the Gears of War series have been released. The series has incredible campaign, which tells a great story. But, there’s no doubt that the premiere aspect of these games is the online multiplayer.

Associated with the online multiplayer are a variety of modes and maps to play on. When you think of the first Gears of War, you think of maps like Gridlock (which has been remade for every other game) and Mansion. For Gears of War 2, there’s Jacinto and Pavilion.

Even in

Gears of War 3

, there are some great maps. Some of these include Checkout and Dry Dock. Luckily for us, these two maps will be coming to Gears of War 4 in November.

Xbox

released a statement on their website about the new maps. There’s also some new videos focused on each map straight from the

Gears of War

YouTube page.

Checkout is probably the most popular map from

Gears of War 3

. Being a fan favorite, Checkout is a supermarket in Cole’s hometown of Hanover 25. With the battle for power weapons between the opposing teams, it makes for a great competitive map.

Drydock is another great competitive map. Drydock was transported from a COG ship building facility to a ship breaking scrapyard on a Seran mudflat. It’s also mostly known for being played on the Horde game type, so gamers will be able to revisit this map on Gears of War 4.
