Through the first eight weeks of the 2016 college football season, the Boise State Broncos are perfect and ranked No. 13 in the nation. This is nothing new to them, of course. Boise State has made themselves the household name of the non-Power 5 schools. Now they look to stay perfect. To day that in Week 9, they’ll have to go to Laramie, WY and defeat a feisty Wyoming Cowboys team on the road.
Brett Rypien has been leading the way for Boise State to this point with the quarterback looking big time. He’s already thrown for over 2,000 yards and 15 touchdowns. Moreover, Jeremy McNichols has been great as well as both a rusher and pass-catcher. This Broncos team knows how to get it done and isn’t 7-0 by a fluke. They have all the talent in the world and can light opponents up in a hurry.
For Wyoming, they quietly have just two losses on the season. Sure, sophomore quarterback Josh Allen has been fine and doing enough to get it done for Wyoming. However, the bigger story is that junior running back Brian Hill has been a monster on the ground, already amassing over 1,000 yards rushing and 11 touchdowns. If he can get rolling, the Cowboys have a shot at the upset.
