Florida State Seminoles star running back Dalvin Cook explodes all over the Clemson Tigers on this 70-yard statement of a touchdown run.
His team might be out of the College Football Playoff race and he may not be getting to New York as a Heisman Trophy finalist but none of that matters for Florida State Seminoles running back Dalvin Cook. He’s going up against the No. 3 Clemson Tigers and he’s ready to rock their world.
Florida State was already up 21-20 before Cook burns the Tigers on this outstanding 70-yard touchdown run. He would run to the left on a sweep, get to the sideline, and he was gone.
That was Cook’s third rushing touchdown of the game. Hitting paydirt on that score brought him over 100 yards rushing on the night. Clemson still has another quarter to overcome an eight-point deficit on the road, however, Florida State will continue to pound the rock with its star tailback to chew up some clock with the lead.
Florida State has two losses on the year to the Louisville Cardinals and the North Carolina Tar Heels in ACC play. Should the Seminoles knock off the Tigers at home, there is a chance that Florida State will once again crack the Top 10 of the AP Top 25 in Week 10.
By beating Clemson, this makes things a bit more complicated in the ACC Atlantic race. Clemson and Louisville would each have one conference loss, but the Tigers have the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Cardinals.

If Florida State wins out in 2016, there is a strong possibility that the Seminoles can get back to a New Year’s Six bowl game. The Orange Bowl would be on the table. If not the Orange Bowl, then maybe a trip to Arlington for the Cotton Bowl as an at-large?
