Taking a look at the best ESPN College GameDay signs in Week 9 ahead of Washington vs Utah from Salt Lake City.

At the start of the 2016 college football season, I doubt many people thought they’d be heavily anticipating a Week 9 matchup between the Washington Huskies and Utah Utes. However, that’s exactly what the case is on Saturday as it’s these two teams out of the Pac-12 both looking like they have the chance to make serious noise. Thus, it was only natural for ESPN College Gameday (and the GameDay signs) to make their way to Rice-Eccles Stadium in Salt Lake City to set up shop ahead of this game.

Though it may not have been expected, these two teams have been phenomenal all season. Washington and Utah have just one loss between them on the year and a ton of talent on each roster.

For the Huskies, Jake Browning has been one of the best players in college football as just a sophomore. If he can stay the course, he could be in the Heisman Trophy consideration when it’s all said and done. Then Utah has the likes of running back Joe Williams. He retired from football, but returned last week only to break the school rushing record.

With all of this talent, this game that’ll be huge for the Pac-12 standings and national rankings should be phenomenal. But what about the GameDay signs? Did those live up to this matchup?

Frankly, this feels like a weak crop of signs. Of course, these kids deserve a bit of props for being up and on set this early in the morning. They’ve got a long day ahead of tailgating and a massive football game. Props to those who made it and brought their GameDay signs.
