Who did Lee Corso select with his headgear pick on College GameDay for Saturday’s game between Washington and Utah?
On Saturday, October 29, college football analyst Lee Corso made his latest headgear selection on College GameDay in Salt Lake City, UT. This is for No. 4 Washington vs No. 17 Utah. These Pac-12 schools are battling for conference supremacy and to keep their spot in the polls intact.
Washington probably has the most at stake in this one. While they have a decent position in the poll, there are a handful of teams trailing them like Louisville, Ohio State, and Nebraska. Losing may do too much damage to their resume, and likely lead to them never reclaiming the No. 4 spot this season. However, if the Huskies win, they will not face another ranked opponent before the Pac-12 championship game.
Utah is in a position where if they win, a spot near the top 10 should be in line for them. If not, they’ll go into the final three weeks playing Arizona State, Oregon, and No. 23 Colorado. So, 9-3 or 10-2 would be realistic and should get them to finish near the bottom of the top 25 either way.
For College GameDay, though, Corso had to choose which of these Pac-12 schools he thought would win Saturday afternoon’s game. Who did the longtime analyst use his headgear for?
Washington vs. Utah should make for an intriguing matchup with plenty on the line. It will not only set the stage for the Pac-12 but impact the AP Poll and eventual College Football Playoff ranking, which gets announced on Tuesday, November 2. It will be up to a committee to decide how far Washington will move up with a win, and vice verse for Utah.
