Middlesbrough face Bournemouth at the Riverside Stadium on Saturday, Oct. 29. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Middlesbrough have been slipping slowly towards the drop zone since taking four points from their first two games. The excellent defense that propelled them to second place in the Championship last season has faltered somewhat against Premier League level attacks, while goals have been hard to come by for center-forward Alvaro Negredo. However, last week’s 0-0 draw away at Arsenal was a very encouraging result. If Aitor Karanka’s side can show the same defensive stability against Bournemouth, they’ll have a real chance at their first win since August.

Bournemouth have improved as the season has progressed and find themselves in 10th place after an excellent 0-0 draw against Tottenham last week. Eddie Howe has built a confident team capable of playing some excellent attacking soccer, if still a little shaky at the back. Howe has been linked to the England job recently, which while probably a bad move for him, is a sign of the success he’s had. The Cherries will have to force the issue against Middlesbrough in a way they didn’t against Spurs, so it will be interesting to see how they perform against a packed defense.
