On Saturday afternoon, two SEC teams will go to battle with the Kentucky Wildcats traveling to Columbia, MO, to take on the Missouri Tigers. This game will be held at Memorial Stadium at Faurot Field.
Kentucky comes into this game a 4-3 with a 3-2 conference record. They’ve rattled off back to back wins against Vanderbilt and Mississippi State, and even tallied their second highest point total of the season with 40.
Last Saturday, the Wildcats received solid production from quarterback Stephen Johnson. He threw for 292 yards and two touchdowns and even pitched in 20 rushing yards. Benjamin Snell Jr. had 128 yards on the ground of his own for one score.
The star of the game may have been wide receiver Jeff Badet, however. He put up 139 yards and two touchdowns, both of which were his highest totals of the season. The junior had just two receptions for eight yards over the past two weeks. Will he step up again on Saturday?
Missouri comes into this game at a lowly 2-5 and without a win in the SEC. Despite annihilating Eastern Michigan and Delaware State by a combined 140-21, they’ve mostly been knocked around by everyone else. The Tigers only went down by five to Middle Tennessee State last week, though. This most notably saw running back Damarea Crockett rush for 156 yards and four scores. Is he set for another big day?
