The Chicago Cubs are facing a 3-1 deficit in the World Series and Twitter thinks they’re doomed.
After returning to the World Series for the first time since 1945, the Chicago Cubs could soon be eliminated. On Saturday night, the Indians defeated the Cubs 7-2 and the hopes of their fans took a big hit. While they aren’t eliminated yet and could certainly win three straight games, it’s going to be a tough battle ahead for them.
When it comes to the Cubs and the World Series, there are just some people that believe the team is doomed no matter what they do. After their loss on Saturday, Twitter was all over the Cubs and hope did not spring eternal on the social media giant.
Cubs fans still talking about "breaking the curse", like that's a real thing.

The amount of joy I'll get watching a team celebrate a World Series at Wrigley who isn't the Cubs will be unhealthy.

My bucket list includes never seeing the Cubs break the curse....#RollTribe

Cubs are playing like it's more important for them to play in the World Series than win the World Series #WorldSeries #Cubscurse

Imagine the Cubs lose all 3 games in Chicago to lose the World Series. That would make the curse even more unbearable I would imagine

It’s always tough to watch Chicago get this far and struggle. While the series isn’t over yet, it’s really going to be tough on them. The Indians have been lights out when it comes to pitching and their offense has been even better.
They have faced deficits before, but now they have to be perfect the rest of the way. There are some out there that still have optimism, but after tonight it has all but turned into dread for many others.
