Washington Huskies wide receiver Dante Pettis returned a punt for a touchdown late against Utah on Saturday afternoon.

The battle between the Washington Huskies and Utah Utes was one of the best all season on Saturday. Coming into a hostile environment needing a win for their College Football Playoff Chances, the Washington Huskies were able to come away with a huge win late. With the game tied at 24, Washington wide receiver Dante Pettis made the play to make it happen.

As the Utes were backed up in their own territory, they were forced to punt away on fourth down. That’s when Pettis was able to return the punt and take it to the house in incredible fashion. The air suddenly came out of everyone in Salt Lake City and the Huskies were able to escape with the win.

For the Huskies, this was the statement win that they needed to stamp their resume. While they still need to win out, this win pretty much secures their spot as one of the best teams in the nation. Every great team has a player they can rely on when they need it most and Pettis was that guy for the Huskies today.
