Raiders at Buccaneers: Highlights, score and recap
By John Buhler
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Oakland Raiders in Week 8. Here are all the highlights, a game recap, and the final score.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will host the Oakland Raiders on Sunday afternoon in Week 8. Kickoff from Raymond James Stadium will be at 1:00 PM ET on Sunday, October 30th. CBS will have the telecast.
Oakland is 5-2 on the season. The Raiders are 4-0 on the road this season. Their only two losses are to arguably two of the best 10 teams in football: the Atlanta Falcons and the arch rival Kansas City Chiefs.
After beating the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 7, Oakland has elected to spend the week in Florida instead of going back home. We’ll see how this pans out.
Tampa Bay is 3-3 on the season. The Buccaneers have won two straight, albeit against lousy teams in the Carolina Panthers and the San Francisco 49ers. That being said, Tampa Bay does have a shot at leading the NFC South entering Week 9 if the following plays out.
Since Tampa Bay beat Atlanta in Week 1, 31-24, should the Buccaneers beat the Raiders and the Falcons lose at home to the Green Bay Packers, that would put the Buccaneers in first place at 4-3. Atlanta would fall to 4-4 on the season with a third straight loss.
Three Stars
1. Derek Carr: Carr has been key in the Raiders’ 5-2 start this season. Look for the Raiders quarterback to complete 63% of his passes for 275 yards, two touchdowns, and an interception.
2. Latavius Murray: With a healthy Murray, the Radiers’ offense can really take off. Look for him to have 135 all-purpose yards and one rushing touchdown.
3. Jacquizz Rodgers: Rodgers will be the bell-cow back for the Buccaneers on Sunday. Look for him to have 95 yards and a touchdown for Tampa Bay.
