The first part of Saturday’s Big 12 self-deletion occurred in Stillwater as Oklahoma State took out West Virginia. Really, the Cowboys were in control a majority of the game. It never really seemed like West Virginia never got in a groove and it cost them big time. Oklahoma State’s Mike Gundy notched his 100th victory against WVU and now the Cowboys are on the outside looking in on possibly stealing the Big 12 crown.
That quest gets a bit tougher this week as Oklahoma State travels to Manhattan to face a K-State team that’s yet to lose at home in 2016.
No let down this week for Penn State as they blasted the Purdue Boilermakers and scored 62 points in West Lafayette. While the Big Ten crown is out of the question at this point in the season, the job security of James Franklin is a tad bit stronger than it was at the start of the season. When you look at the rest of the schedule for Penn State, they should be favored in most if not all those games. Sitting at bowl eligibility and with the young roster, the Nittany Lions could make the next few seasons fun in the Big Ten’s eastern division.
