Cleveland Indians fan may have gotten a tattoo a few days too soon

One confident Cleveland Indians fan may have jumped the shark on his celebratory World Series tatoo.

Things looked good for the Cleveland Indians. They had a 3-1 lead in the World Series. Fans of the tribe had spent the whole summer making Golden State Warriors jokes and basking in the glory of the Cavaliers title, the city’s first since 1964. Surely the Indians would not blow a 3-1 lead.

Cleveland sports fan @MikeNeero, a self-described retired basketball coach seeking a job in the NBA felt so much confidence in Indians ace Corey Kluber that he made a little appointment with his local tattoo artist.

That’s a bold strategy, Cotton.

The tattoo does not appear to be fake, and the Indians do not appear to have a chance to win Game 7. The Cubs were all over Kluber, with Dexter Fowler homering on the first pitch of the game. Javier Baez has also homered, and the Cubs have jumped out to a 5-1 lead in the fifth inning.

Stranger things have happened, like the NBA’s best team blowing a 3-1 lead, but it is going to take a miracle for the Indians to come back and win this game. You have to feel for the City of Cleveland. Their moment in the sun lasted all of three months, and the Browns are 0-8 and have not won a game since Johnny Football was quarterbacking the offense.

As for Mr. Neero, there are many cutting-edge tattoo removal products coming to market. I strongly recommend he become a paid endorser. You know what they say, you miss 100 percent of the shots you don’t take. He proudly took his shot, but is regrettably destined to live out another relevant 2016 saying. Live long enough to see yourself become a meme.

There’s still time left for the Indians, but this tattoo is looking like one of the all-time worst investments by a sports fan. No regrets.
