Lakers head coach Luke Walton took a swipe at the Indians for being down to the Cubs.

Luke Walton saw his Golden State Warriors have a 3-1 lead against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the 2016 NBA Finals. However, the Cavs rallied back to win the last three games and capture the NBA championship.

With the 2016 World Series, the Cubs were down to the Indians, 3-1. The Cubs have since rallied back in Game 5 and 6 to force a Game 7 in Cleveland. It seems somewhat reminiscent to the Warriors losing their lead in this past June.

Walton, now the head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, had a game on Wednesday night vs the Atlanta Hawks. After it ended, Walton saw the World Series Game 7 score, laughed, and said, “How’s that feel, Cleveland?”, according to Baxter Holmes of ESPN.

Walton is clearly happy over Cleveland being the ones to blow the series lead this time around. It may not completely heal the Cavs beating the Warriors, but he and others are likely happy to see the Indians potentially losing the World Series.

As of the 7th inning, the Cubs remained ahead, 6-3. They scored with the first batter of the game as Dexter Fowler hit a leadoff home run. The Indians tied it with a Carlos Santana RBI hit, but the Cubs then drove in four unanswered runs to push the lead to 5-1. It would soon grow to 6-3 with Chicago having pounded Indians reliever Andrew Miller.

Luke Walton and others going against Cleveland may be very happy as this big night in sports concludes.
