Legendary actor Bob Newhart celebrated the Chicago Cubs winning the World Series by flying the “W” in his house.

There are a lot of elderly people that have been waiting their whole life to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series. On Wednesday night, the dream finally came through after 108 years and the team was able to win the World Series. One person that celebrated from the comfort of their home was legendary actor Bob Newhart.

The 87 year old has been an avid Cubs fan his entire life and has been waiting for this moment for many years. He had been posting pictures after each game of the World Series, but his celebration after Game 7 was perfect. Newhart stood in front of his television as the team celebrated and made sure to fly the “W” for all to see.

When it comes to waiting for the Cubs to win the World Series, Newhart is an elder statesman of the fan base. He has always made sure to stand by his team through the tough times and this is the most rewarding moment of his life as a sports fan.

There are many others like him, but to see the joy on his face as the Cubs won is incredible. His humorous touch on his tweet was even better.
