Cavaliers, Warriors, Taylor Swift headline latest Fandom 250 nominees

Some elite basketball franchises and a number of musicians headline the latest nominees for FanSided’s Fandom 250.

FanSided is rolling out the top 250 fanbases in the world this month, whether those fanbases are for sports, celebrities or pop culture phenomenons. We’ll be unveiling the whole list 10 at a time, with the official rankings being released on December 6th.

The latest group of nominees includes some iconic NBA teams as well as a number of well-known musical artists.

Teams like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors headline the list as current NBA powerhouses. Meanwhile, teams like the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers with more historic backgrounds also made it into the discussion. Could the latter teams rank higher than the Warriors and Cavaliers because of their more established fanbases? No offense, but the Cavaliers and Warriors probably have more than a handful of fans who recently jumped the bandwagon.

As for the musicians, this batch of nominees is split between country stars like Blake Shelton and Garth Brooks and pop superstars like Katy Perry and Taylor Swift. Can artists like T-Swift rank higher than NBA teams like the Cavaliers and Lakers? We’ll have to wait until December 6th to find out.
