The Chicago Cubs are the early favorites to win the 2017 World Series.

It took the Chicago Cubs 108 years to finally win the World Series again. It only makes sense that they’re seen as the favorites to win the World Series again next year. They have young talent that has already carried them to one World Series and they likely aren’t going anywhere.

Even Las Vegas sees them as the favorites to repeat again next season. According to the Westgate SuperBook (via ESPN), the Cubs are opening up next year as 3-1 favorites to bring home yet another World Series to Chicago.

The Cleveland Indians have high odds as well at 12-1, although not as high as the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox and Washington Nationals. Each of those teams are currently opening up at 10-1 odds heading into next season. The San Francisco Giants and Toronto Blue Jays each have 16-1 odds, along with the Texas Rangers.

While Chicago can certainly bring home a second one next year, everyone is focused on the fact that they just broke the curse. Next year is a long ways away, even if it isn’t for gamblers. For now though, the Cubs will celebrate the one they just won in epic fashion.
