The Chicago Cubs fans in attendance at Progressive Field for Game 7 of the World Series hung around to sing the best rendition of ‘Go Cubs Go’ ever
After 108 years, the words that you never thought you’d hear are true: the Chicago Cubs are World Series champions. I know, it’s every bit as surreal as you think it’d be. But even in the anticipation of history, the Cubs fans traveled to Progressive Field in Cleveland in droves for the matchup with the Indians. So when history was made and the Cubbies had finally won, you better believe it was a party.
Sure, the Cleveland fans were hoping their team would make history as well. However, the Cubs fans have a bit more history that was weighing them down.
So after the game concluded and the Cubs were named champs, you better believe the fans in attendance were sticking around. And of course, there was only one thing they could be doing: singing ‘Go Cubs Go.’
