LeBron James set up Cleveland Cavaliers center Tristan Thompson to destroy Tyler Zeller off the pick and roll.
The reigning NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers haven’t shown signs of slowing down. They came into Thursday’s matchup against the Boston Celtics with a 3-0 record.
Although the Celtics come into the game off the victory over the Chicago Bulls, they have had a tough time hanging with the Cavs so far. Capping off a big run for the Cavs, LeBron James found Tristan Thompson off the pick and roll for a huge dunk over Tyler Zeller.
Thompson set the man-sized screen on rookie Jaylen Brown, rolled full force toward the basket catching the ball midway, then completely posterized Celtics center Tyler Zeller. It was one huge play out of a few for the freakishly athletic center that is slowly becoming one of the best in the NBA.
The Cavaliers seem to have the Celtics number, they have been able to exploit their different players to this point. In this case Brown and Zeller were not on the same page, ending up with a Cavaliers big-time highlight dunk.
Thompson is turning into one of the best big men in basketball and there is no denying his presence when he is on the court. He is constantly providing an instant spark for his team with his offensive rebounding capabilities, allowing his teammates extra opportunities at the basket.

To this point the Celtics have been unable to contain the Thompson, and the Cavaliers. Despite being shorthanded, missing key guys Jae Crowder and Kelly Olynyk, they still should have enough offensive firepower to keep up with the Cavs.

That is what the Celtics will need to depend on if they want to have a chance, to this point they have not been able to slow down the Cavalier offense.
