Clemson Tigers QB Deshaun Watson

Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson is the best player on the No. 2 team in the country and probably the third best player in the country. The problem is he’s not even the best quarterback in his own division in the ACC.

Louisville’s Jackson has had a better individual season than Watson, but the Tigers did prevail over the Cardinals earlier in the season. As long as Watson puts up respectable numbers and the Tigers keep winning, he’ll be a Heisman finalist no doubt.

On the season, Watson has completed 63.5% of his passes for 2,328 yards, 22 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. His yards per attempt of 7.7 could be better, but his quarterback rating of 145.9 is still very solid.

On the ground, Watson hasn’t been as good as he was last year. Having only one rushing touchdown is hurting his Heisman stock, but is actually helping his NFL Draft stock out tremendously. Watson is the clear No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft at this point in time.

Clemson will get 4-4 Syracuse at home on Saturday. Kickoff from Memorial Stadium will be at 3:30 p.m. ET. Either ABC or ESPN 2 will be carrying the ACC game depending on what part of the country you live in.
