These five coaches on the hot seat in college football need a win in Week 10.

It’s hard to believe that Week 10 of the college football season has already arrived. The first College Football Playoff rankings are already out and some teams have already said goodbye to their chances at making a bowl game this season. Some coaches are also firmly planted on the hot seat.

With Week 10 now here, more coaches will soon be let go if there teams continue to falter and teams will finish out the last two weeks with interim coaches in all likelihood. There are plenty of coaches fighting for their jobs going forward and these five coaches need a win in Week 10.

5. Rich Rodriguez

Although he’s not in any imminent danger of losing his job, Rich Rodriguez needs the Arizona Wildcats to start getting some wins. He doesn’t need to make a bowl game to save his job, but at 2-6, his team can’t afford to lose out.

This is a team that came into the season thinking they’d have a shot at maybe making some noise in the Pac-12 South, but injuries and disappointment have kept that from happening. They need to show fight the rest of the way and picking up a couple more wins could really help their coach.

At one point, Rodriguez was expected to be the coach that lands a bigger one. Whether he got distracted looking for the next big one or his team just isn’t that good, his recruiting is down and the program is not in a good spot.
