BlizzCon got underway with its traditional Opening Ceremony. And we fortunately didn’t have to wait too long before someone hacked her way in to introduce herself.

Just as many people predicted, Sombra crashed the party. In her wake, Blizzard revealed a new animated short about Sombra as well as a wealth of information about what is on the horizon for Overwatch.

Sombra will be able to hack the abilities of other Overwatch characters. She also will have some sort of stealth ability. For those lucky enough to be at BlizzCon, she will be playable at the event.
Outside of Sombra, two new maps will be launched next week on the PTR. One is Oasis, which is set in the Arabian Desert. The other will be Eco-Point Antarctica, which is where Mei was apparently frozen for over a decade.
There will also be a new game mode called Arcade, which will come with its own maps. There will also be 3v3 and 1v1 gameplay.
