The quest for the Commander-in-Chief trophy continues as Army hosts Air Force with both teams sitting at 5-3. Air Force has the leg up by having defeated Navy 28-14 on October 6. A win Saturday at Army will clinch the trophy for the Falcons.
Air Force had started the season 4-0 but has struggled as of late, losing three of their last four games. The Falcons trailed 14-0 to Fresno State last Friday, before the Falcons defense forced four turnovers and imposed their running game on the Bulldogs.
On the other side Army is coming off a 21-13 win against ACC minnows Wake Forest. Army has had a slightly tougher strength of schedule than Air Force according to teamrankings.com (ranked 91 vs. 100 for Air Force).

Both teams like to grind it out through the running game, with Air Force averaging 296 yards per game, ranked 6th overall in the nation. Army relies on their dual threat QB Ahmad Bradshaw (not to be confused with former New York Giant running back and two-time Super Bowl winner) for much of their running yardage. Bradshaw averages 4.3 yards a carry and leads Army in total carries (132) this season.
