If you were hoping to upgrade your seat for the game between USC and Oregon on Saturday night, you’re in luck because you have a chance to.
I mean, I understand that it’s not 2004 anymore, USC fans. Things just haven’t been the same since Pete Carroll bolted for the NFL and Reggie Bush had to give back his Heisman Trophy (instead of rightfully giving it to Vince Young).
Oregon, I get it too.
Since Chip Kelly thought his system would work in the NFL, you’ve been in a downward spiral outside of a national title game appearance with Marcus Mariota a couple years ago. But folks, you couldn’t get together in beautiful southern California for when your team met?
Really?

This is the crowd for the first possession of the game between the Ducks and Trojans on Saturday night, and as you can see, there’s not a lot of people there.

It’s like people forgot they had tickets to the game. It is California and there’s an endless supply of things to do, but c’mon … this is just bad, folks.
To be fair, they’re not missing much (if they’re an Oregon fan). USC has jumped out to 17-6 lead in the first quarter against Oregon on Saturday night, and it’s been all Trojans in the early going. The Ducks look every bit like a 3-5 football team against the 5-3 Trojans.
The only mishap for USC in the early going would probably be a 24-yard punt out of their own endzone, which led to Oregon’s lone touchdown of the evening so far on an end-around by Charles Nelson, who is really fast.

Well that, and the fact that their (and Oregon’s) fan base forgot when kickoff was.
