High Value SG

Bradley Beal-Washington Wizards (5,300): Beal had a season-high 28 points last night and chipped in three assists, two rebounds, and a block on his way to 31.9 fantasy points. With John Wall resting tonight, Beal could carry the load on offense for coach Scott Brooks making him an option with a ton of upside. However, he is logging a ton of minutes so far this season, so the team may try to steal him some rest if the game gets out of hand either way. He’s high-risk, but his high-reward is off the charts.

Eric Gordon-Houston Rockets (5,200): With James Harden running the show in Houston, Eric Gordon has fit in nicely as a two-guard in Mike D’Antoni’s system. He has at least 14 points in every game this season and has at least 24 fantasy points in four of his last five. He’s relatively low-risk based on his consistent performances, and as long as he stay’s healthy he’ll be a good value under 6K. ∗∗

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope-Detroit Pistons (4,800): KCP knows all about the opportunity for a SG to step up when the primary PG is sidelined like Bradley Beal has tonight. Caldwell-Pope has been without Reggie Jackson all season, and recently he’s been a great play at under 5K with 35.2 fantasy points against the Bucks, 28.1 fantasy points against the Knicks, and 31.4 fantasy points against the Next in his three games over the last week. Caldwell-Pope had at least 15 points in each of those three games while chipping in solid steals, assists, and rebounds. Tonight, he’ll be in a good matchup against Denver. He doesn’t have quite the elite upside of Beal, but he doesn’t have as high a risk level either.

Tim Hardaway Jr.-Atlanta Hawks (3,700): If you go cheap at one of your SG spots, Hardaway has loads of potential despite his game-to-game volatility. He has at least 20 fantasy points in three of his five games this season and made it to a season-high 26.5 fantasy points against the Lakers on Wednesday while scoring 26 points in 21 minutes ff the bench. Last night, he followed that up with ten points, four boards, three assists, and a block in his 28 minutes off the bench. He is playing increased minutes behind struggling starters Kyle Korver and Kent Bazemore which gives him the chance to flash his fantasy upside even though he costs less than 4K. ∗∗

Tomas Satoransky-Washington Wizards (3,500): The Wizards are resting John Wall for their second game on back-to-back nights which could result in the first career start for the 25-year-old Satoransky who has climbed past Trey Burke on the team’s depth chart at PG. Satoransky had a huge preseason and played a season-high 22 minutes last night against the Hawks handing out six assists to go with three rebounds and four points. The Magic have been beatable in the back court, so give the rookie a look if you decide to go ultra-cheap at one of your roster slots to fit in the stars you’re after. He has huge upside, but he’s unpredictable as a starter since this will be his first time in the lineup.
