Hamburg faces Borussia Dortmund at Imtech Arena on Saturday. Here’s all the info you need to watch.
Both Hamburg and Borussia Dortmund are desparate for a win. BVB haven’t won a Bundesliga match since September 23, drawing in their last three. They have gone from likely challengers to leaders Bayern Munich to fighting to stay in the to top half of the table.
Dortmund have fared better in the Champions League, winning 1-0 against Sporting Lisbon on Wednesday, securing advancement to the round of 16. It was another Champions League start for USMNT member Christian Pulisic – his excellent first touch helped set up the lone goal of the match.
Hamburg are in even worse shape; they are actually in the worst shape, sitting dead last in the Bundesliga with two points. They have only scored two goals in in league play. American Bobby Wood – Hamburg’s lone bright spot in their dismal season – was responsible for both.
In fact, Hamburg has six goals in all competitions, Bobby Wood has scored four of them. Unfortunately for the player and the club, Wood is suspended for three league games after being show a red card for elbowing a Cologne player in the face last Sunday.
