Louisville Cardinals star quarterback Lamar Jackson sprints right up the middle against the Boston College Eagles for an easy 69-yard touchdown run.

The 2016 Heisman Trophy race has been pretty much over for weeks now. Louisville Cardinals sophomore sensation quarterback Lamar Jackson has set the college football world ablaze with his dynamic dual-threat ability.

Here is Jackson absolutely scorching a bewildered Boston College Eagles defense to find pay dirt on this 69-yard touchdown run.

Jackson has had a stranglehold on the 2016 Heisman Trophy since his dominant Week 2 performance against the Syracuse Orange in the Carrier Dome. He has owned most ACC teams he has gone up against with his lightning quick speed on the ground and his howitzer of a right arm.

The quarterback/head coach tandem in Louisville with Jackson and Bobby Petrino have Louisville very much in the conversation for the 2017 College Football Playoff. Louisville was the No. 7 team in the country in the College Football Playoff Selection Committee’s first rankings this season.

The Cardinals need to see the Clemson Tigers lose twice to get to the 2016 ACC Championship Game in Orlando. Louisville lost to their ACC Atlantic rival head-to-head earlier this season.

Louisville may not get to Orlando but seem like a lock to get a New Year’s Six bowl bid this season. The Cardinals are the second-best team in the ACC and would get to play in the Orange Bowl in Miami.

Not only is Louisville a lock to make it to a New Year’s Six bowl, but Jackson should be the school’s first Heisman Trophy winner. He gets to come back for one more season after this one.
