Ohio State Buckeyes punter Cameron Johnston will give the Nebraska Cornhuskers an Ohio State helmet with 27 buckeye stickers to honor the late Sam Foltz.
The college football world was shocked this summer when Nebraska Cornhuskers punter Sam Foltz passed away in a car accident. Every team that Nebraska has gone up against this season has presented the Cornhuskers special teams unit with a gift to honor the late Foltz.
Saturday in Columbus will be no different as Ohio State Buckeyes punter Cameron Johnston will gift the Cornhuskers special teamers with an Ohio State helmet. This helmet will have 27 buckeye stickers on it to commemorate the life of Foltz.
Foltz wore No. 27 at Nebraska. ESPN’s Jeannine Edwards tweeted out a picture of the helmet that Johnston will present to Nebraska before their highly anticipated Big Ten matchup.

It’s a tremendously classy move by the Buckeyes to give Nebraska one of their helmets. Ohio State’s helmets adorned by buckeye stickers are one of the most recognizable in college football. The Buckeyes could have given Nebraska a No. 27 jersey, but this helmet means a little more.
Both Big Ten teams have one loss on the season. Ohio State fell to rival Penn State two weeks ago. Nebraska feel to rival Wisconsin last weekend. However, both Ohio State and Nebraska are in the Top 10 of the initial College Football Playoff rankings.

The winner of this Big Ten game will have staying power in Tuesday’s poll. This game’s loser will likely fall out of the Top 10 entirely. Ohio State is favored over the Cornhuskers, but this could be one of the best games on the slate this weekend college football.
