Here’s how to watch Saturday’s Big Ten game between the Rutgers Scarlet Knights and Indiana Hoosiers.

The Indiana Hoosiers will try to get above the .500 mark when they visit the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Saturday afternoon at High Point Solutions Stadium.

Indiana is having another up-and-down season under sixth-year head coach Kevin Wilson with a record of 4-4 so far. The Hoosiers erased a three-game losing streak against the toughest part of their schedule with a 42-36 home win over Maryland a week ago.

Wilson’s offense hasn’t been quite as high-powered as in previous seasons, as the Hoosiers are averaging just 26.4 points per game. Nick Westbrook and Ricky Jones are both averaging over 17 yards per reception to help out struggling first-year starting quarterback Richard Lagow. Indiana’s defense is also much improved and is allowing 26.5 points per game.

The Chris Ash era in Piscataway is off to a slow start with Rutgers sitting at 2-6, including 0-5 in Big Ten play. The Scarlet Knights were at least more competitive last week in a last-second 34-32 loss to Minnesota.

If Rutgers is going to win a Big Ten game this season, it will need to make huge strides on the offensive end. Junior quarterback Giovanni Rescigno took over the starting role two weeks ago and went 22/38 for 220 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions, a definite upgrade over Chris Laviano.

Indiana can’t afford a loss on Saturday if it is to make a second consecutive bowl game for the first time since 1990-1991. The Hoosiers should be able to handle Purdue to close out the year, but still have to play Penn State and Michigan.
