The No. 4 Texas A&M Aggies could be upset by the Mississippi State Bulldogs in Week 10. It seems that Aggies quarterback Trevor Knight is done for the day.
Things are going all sorts of wrong for the Texas A&M Aggies in Starkville versus the struggling Mississippi State Bulldogs. Texas A&M was the No. 4 team in the country in the first College Football Playoff rankings of 2016. Mississippi State had stumbled to 3-5 on the season.
Not only are the Aggies trailing the Bulldogs 28-14 at Davis Wade Stadium, it seems that their starting quarterback Trevor Knight is done for the day after suffering a shoulder injury in the first half. He is on the Texas A&M sideline in a sling and wearing street clothes.
Yep. Trevor Knight is indeed in shorts, with a sling on his right arm.

This has forced Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin to lean on backup quarterback Jake Hubenak to prevent the embarrassing road upset in Starkville. If Texas A&M were to lose this game, the Aggies would absolutely fall out of the Top 10 and would have their College Football Playoff dreams completely dashed.
A win over the Aggies would give the Bulldogs a better chance at making it to a holiday season bowl this fall. It has been anything but smooth sailing for Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen this year. This is the worst Mississippi State has been since he took over the program several seasons ago.

Hubenak will have to deal with an energetic Davis Wade crowd and a 14-point deficit to win on the road in Starkville. It’s not looking good for the Aggies on Saturday afternoon. It would not be a good loss for the SEC to have. This would negatively impact the No. 9 Auburn Tigers’ chances of making the College Football Playoff. One of their two losses is to Texas A&M.
