New Orleans Saints running back Mark Ingram completely scorches the San Francisco 49ers defense on this incredible 75-yard touchdown run.

The New Orleans Saints had a great opportunity to get back to .500 at 4-4 by playing the terrible San Francisco 49ers on Sunday afternoon. New Orleans is far from a perfect football team, but the Saints could force themselves into the NFC Playoffs mix if they continue to play well.

After San Francisco’s DuJuan Harris found pay dirt on the previous possession for the 49ers, Saints running back Mark Ingram one up’s him with a 75-yard rushing touchdown gem of his own.

Already up 21-10 on the 49ers, Saints quarterback Drew Brees would hand the ball off to Ingram in the backfield. Ingram would find the hole, explode through it, and outpaced the San Francisco secondary for six on this 75-yard touchdown run.

Not only are the 49ers pitiful on offense, this supposed defense-first football team is getting leveled by the high-octane Saints offense early. The Saints can put up points with anybody through the air. Now that New Orleans has found itself on the ground, this is going to be one of the hardest offenses to stop in football.

New Orleans would be in second place by itself in the NFC South should the Saints win in San Francisco on Sunday. The Saints would only be 1.5 games back of the first-place Atlanta Falcons in the NFC South.

The only problem is that the Saints lost head-to-head to Atlanta at home on Monday Night Football in Week 3. New Orleans would still need to win a few more games, but have entered the NFC Wild Card conversation mid-season. Who would have thought that a few weeks ago?
