New Orleans Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas does everything in his power to come down with this outstanding 32-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Drew Brees.

The New Orleans Saints have found a new toy for quarterback Drew Brees to play with in this vaunted aerial attack. After cutting long-time Saints wideout Marques Colston in the offseason, there was a void in the New Orleans receiving corps.

Brandin Cooks might be the most talented wide receiver of the bunch, but Michael Thomas continues to make all the big plays for the Saints. How he came up with this ridiculous 32-yard touchdown grab is beyond comprehension.

Up 31-23 on the lowly San Francisco 49ers early in the fourth quarter, Brees decides to dial it up for Thomas in the back of the 49ers’ end zone. Brees does what any future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback would do and put the ball where only his man could get it.

Falling away from the pass, Thomas basically tips the ball to himself over the 49ers defensive back playing man coverage. Thomas would grab the football just before hitting the turf for six points.

After the Wil Lutz PAT, the Saints would take a convincing 38-23 lead over the 49ers early in the fourth quarter. Should the Saints hold off the 49ers, they would get back to .500 and be very much alive in the NFC Wild Card race.

New Orleans would only be back of the first-place Atlanta Falcons by a game and a half in the NFC South race. The only problem is that the Saints dropped their Week 3 home game to arch rival Atlanta on Monday Night Football. New Orleans could have serious staying power in the NFC Playoffs race in the second half.
