53. Another weekend and another long afternoon for the winless Browns as the Dallas Cowboys toyed with Hue Jackson’s club all afternoon. The 35-10 setback saw Cleveland outgained by 201 total yards (423-222) and out first-downed 29-13. Quarterback Cody Kessler threw for 203 yards and a touchdown but was sacked four times. Meanwhile, the Browns ground attack managed only 45 yards on 13 carries. Dallas owned the football for 39:39 in the game and rolled up 168 yards rushing on 42 attempts. The Cleveland pass rush was shut out while the team failed to force a turnover. It marked the third straight game and sixth time in their last seven outings that Jackson’s squad gave up at least 30 points.
Next Week: The team makes the short trip on a short week as Hue Jackson’s club tackles the Ravens in Baltimore on Thursday night. You will recall that in this year’s first meeting (Week 2) Cleveland opened up a 20-0 lead only to give up the final 25 points of the game in a five-point loss.

Playoff hopes: There has only been one other team in NFL history to go 0-16 and that was the 2008 Lions. The Browns still have seven opportunities to avoid that disturbing distinction. The point is that this team, rebuilding once again, isn’t going to the playoffs and hasn’t been to the postseason since 2002.
. 0-9. Previous: . Cleveland Browns. 32. team
