The Western Michigan Broncos have been one of the feel-good stories of the 2016 college football season, as they have gone unbeaten through their first nine games of the season. On Saturday, they broke a 75-year-old program record, winning their 11th straight game. A big reason for their success has been the play of their senior star wide receiver, who had a record-breaking day against Ball State this past week.

Corey Davis caught 12 passes against the Cardinals, setting a Mid-American Conference record with 272 receiving yards. The senior also scored three times, finding the end zone from 57, 35, and 62 yards. His three touchdowns gave him at least one touchdown in six straight games, as he continues his incredible career at Western Michigan.

With his 272-yard effort this past weekend, Davis has now racked up at least 1,000 yards in a season for three straight years. The dominating performance also gave him 100-plus yards receiving in a game for the third straight time, as he has led his team to a No. 14 ranking in the AP Poll. Western Michigan could be playing in a large bowl if they can win each game the rest of the way.
