Jim Harbaugh revealed his favorite cartoons and one of them is SpongeBob SquarePants.
Michigan Wolverines head football coach Jim Harbaugh is one of the easiest people in the word to make fun of. He has a lot of comical personality traits and is a fan of a great joke. Recently, Harbaugh’s antics were the subject of a joke on The Simpsons.
The coach of the Wolverines was actually fine with the joke. In fact, he seems to view the ribbing as an honor.
“People have been making sport of me ever since I can remember, ever since my earliest memories,” Harbaugh said, via 247sports.com. “My whole life, they make sport of me. But it’s pretty high class — The Simpsons! I stepped up! It’s one of my favorite shows. The Simpsons and [SpongeBob SquarePants] are two of my all time favorites.”
Everybody loves The Simpsons, so that’s understandable. But Spongebob? Why does Harbaugh love a kid’s show? Sure, Spongebob is arguably the best Nickelodeon cartoon ever, or at least it’s best since Rugrats. But still, a bit weird, right?
“I love his attitude”, Harbaugh said. “He attacks each day with an enthusiasm unknown to mankind! I’ve kind of modeled my behavior after him. We all should. What a great employee he is. He’s a go-getter. He’s always got a bounce to his step. He’s got pizzazz. He puts his heart and soul into making those Krabby Patties. I think he’s awesome.”

Well, Harbaugh certainly shares the sponge’s enthusiasm for live. Heck, the former NFL quarterback might as well be a cartoon anyway. Harbaugh has a lot to be excited about these days, as the Wolverines are set to contend for the BCS National Title. In their last game, they beat the Maryland Terrapins 59-3.
