There are 11 NBA games on the slate Wednesday night. One of those games coming from the Eastern Conference will be between the Boston Celtics (3-3) and the Washington Wizards (1-5). Tipoff from the Verizon Center in the nation’s capital will be at 7:00 p.m. ET.
Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic will have the game in the Greater Washington area. Comcast SportsNet New England will have this game in New England. Since this game will not be nationally televised, the available live stream can be found on NBA League Pass, which requires a subscription.
Boston has faltered a tad out of the gate. Maybe this isn’t a 50-win team like many had suggested it would be. Al Horford has missed time with a concussion. Isaiah Thomas has voiced his frustrations. Some of the young players on Brad Stevens’ team have yet to pop as professional basketball players.
Washington is an absolute mess. The Wizards’ lone win came at home against the division rival Atlanta Hawks. They are not competitive on the boards. New head coach Scott Brooks looks overwhelmed all the time. Maybe the Bradley Beal extension has made John Wall resent his backcourt partner and maybe the entire Wizards organization.

This could be an ugly game featuring two teams that aren’t playing great basketball. The edge has to go to the home team in this one. It almost feels like a must-win game for the Wizards. Boston doesn’t quite have that sense of urgency. Washington needs to win this game to salvage a disastrous start to its season.
