The Arizona Cardinals need a future quarterback, and they should be able to find him in this draft. Based on their current record, the Cardinals appear slated to pick towards the beginning of the first round, where there should be plenty of signal-callers to choose from. One prospect on the radar is DeShone Kizer, who could easily go in the top-3 in April.

Kizer has all the tools to be a solid quarterback at the next level, possessing the arm strength, and accuracy to make all the throws. What is stopping him from being a No. 1 overall pick is his inconsistency at the position, as he has led the Notre Dame Fighting Irish to a losing record this season. His game equates to the NFL, and he would be a good pick for Arizona.

Carson Palmer likely has a year, or two left in him, which would give Kizer the time to develop. If he goes to a team like Cleveland, he will likely be asked to start right away, which would stunt his development. Palmer is as classy a veteran quarterback as there is in the NFL, and he would likely take Kizer under his wing and make him a better player.
