LSU and Arkansas UNDER 46 points

Count me as a non-believer in the LSU offense and a strong believer in the LSU defense. That accounts for this selection, as the Tigers would need to both give up more than three scores and put 20-plus points on the board to cover this number in what I expect to be a close game. The over is always the popular pick in prominent games, but this has all of the makings of a throwback slugfest in this entertaining rivalry.

Arkansas (+7) over LSU

Much of the rationale for this pick can be found above, and while I don’t love giving two picks on the same game, this is one I’m alright within the grand scheme. Arkansas is undervalued and LSU is overvalued by the betting public in my mind, and home underdogs are always the side in which I lean in a vacuum. Throw in the close-fought tendencies of the rivalry and what I think will be a low-scoring affair and getting a full touchdown is the right side. I’m comfortable with it.
