High Value C

Greg Monroe-Milwaukee Bucks (5,800):  The Bucks continue to rotate Monroe, John Henson, and Miles Plumlee through their big-man spot creating almost a running-back-by-committe situation where each destroys the fantasy value of the other. However, in a great matchup against the Pelicans who allow the fifth-most fantasy points in the NBA to opposing centers, I think Monroe is worth a gamble. Monroe is the most offensively-minded of the three options and he had a solid stat line of six points, 11 rebounds, and six assists when the teams met early this month. He has at least 29 fantasy points in three of his four games this month with a pair of double-doubles including his 14-point, 12-rebeound game against the Mavericks on Sunday which led to 35.5 fantasy points. There’s risk involves with rolling with Monroe tonight, but the upside is definitely there as well.∗∗∗

Robin Lopez-Chicago Bulls (4,200): RoLo doesn’t have the offensive upside that Monroe does, but he is getting enough minutes in the middle for Chicago to be the best option under 5K. Lopez has at least 17 fantasy points in seven of his eight games this season but has put up over 24 fantasy points twice. He’s low-risk, low-upside tonight against the Heat in Miami.

Zaza Pachulia-Golden State Warriors (3,400): Pachulia should get decent minutes for the Warriors tonight as they tangle with the “-ic” front line of the Nuggets. Jokic and Nurkic are both big bodies and log a lot of playing time, so Pachluia could get 20 or so minutes on the floor. Fatigue shouldn’t be an issue since he only played 13 minutes last night against his former team, but his production on offense is unnecessary for the Warriors who are stacked elsewhere which can lead to some empty minutes. Pacuhlia did have three games of over 20 fantasy points but matchups haven’t forced him to play much lately. If you go super-cheap at center, he has the potential to target, but don’t count on too much from him since he has scored a total of four points in his last three games. ∗∗
