17. Josh Reddick, OF

In a crop of middling free agents, Reddick is as middling as they come. He has some pop in his bat, but not too much. He does not strike out much, but does not walk much either. In a good year, he can steal 10 bases. Reddick won a Gold Glove in 2012, but has not rated very highly defensively since.

The whole skillset adds up to a quality player, but not an elite free agent. Reddick’s numbers declined after he was traded from the Oakland Athletics to the Los Angeles Dodgers. In his 47 games with the Dodgers, Reddick slashed .258/.307/.335. A fractured thumb limited him to only 115 games.

Reddick’s free agency will play out after the bigger outfielders and DHs sign, unless he is blown away right off the bat by a team that is not in the running for a bigger name.

Prediction — Cleveland Indians, four years, $44 million
