The No. 9 Auburn Tigers fell to the unranked Georgia Bulldogs on Saturday, 13-7. How does Auburn’s loss impact the College Football Playoff rankings?
The No. 9 Auburn Tigers have fallen out of the 2017 College Football Playoff picture. Auburn lost in Athens to a huge rival in the Georgia Bulldogs, 13-7 on Saturday evening. The Tigers have lost their shot at winning the SEC West in the 2016 Iron Bowl, as Alabama has clinched that SEC division.
How does this loss for Auburn end up impacting the College Football Playoff picture? Assuming each Top 10 team wins its Week 11 game, here is what the Top 10 could look like come Tuesday.
- Alabama Crimson Tide
- Michigan Wolverines
- Clemson Tigers
- Washington Huskies
- Ohio State Buckeyes
- Louisville Cardinals
- Wisconsin Badgers
- Texas A&M Aggies
- Penn State Nittany Lions
- Oklahoma Sooners
Alabama destroyed the Mississippi State Bulldogs to stay at No. 1. Michigan will remain No. 2 should the Wolverines top the Iowa Hawkeyes at Kinnick Stadium. Clemson would stick at No. 3 if the Tigers hang on to beat the Pittsburgh Panthers. Washington would stay at No. 4 by beating the USC Trojans in Seattle.
Ohio State throttled the Maryland Terrapins. The Buckeyes will stay at No. 5, but could very well end up making the Playoff at the end of the day. Louisville would stay at No. 6 if the Cardinals beat the Wake Forest Demon Deacons.
Wisconsin will stay at No. 7 by clobbering the Illinois Fighting Illini. Texas A&M would stay at No. 8 if the Aggies beat the Ole Miss Rebels. Moving up to No. 9 would be Penn State, who managed to beat the Indiana Hoosiers.

Getting into the Top 10 would be Oklahoma, who continues to dominate the Big 12. The Sooners took care of business over the Baylor Bears on Saturday. Does Oklahoma actually have a shot to make the Playoff now?
