High Salary SF

Paul George-Indiana Pacers (8,500): George’s numbers the last two games have been buoyed by the Philadelphia affect, but he has been able to pour in 42.1 and 45.8 fantasy points. He had 26 points, nine rebounds, four assists, and two steals in last night’s overtime loss to the Sixers, and he played 40 minutes so fatigue will be a concern tonight at home against the Celtics. However, Boston has been giving up big fantasy games to opposing SF, so PG13 is the expensive option that I would pick for tonight.

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks (7,700): At least Carmelo should be well-rested after getting an early ejection against Boston last night and finishing with just 14.9 fantasy points. Before that game, Melo was rolling with over 37 fantasy points in three straight contests. He had scored 20 points in six straight and will look to bounce back tonight as the Knicks complete their quick road trip in Toronto. He should be able to give you solid production tonight at under 8K.

Carmelo Anthony-New York Knicks(7,700): Melo always brings his A-game when he faces the Celtics, and he comes in on a nice roll with three good games earlier this week. Anthony had 22 points and seven boards on Wednesday in Brooklyn finishing with 37.4 fantasy points. In his two previous games he had over 40 fantasy points and over 25 points aginst the Bulls and Jazz. He’s in a good matchup tonight against Boston who doesn’t have Jae Crowder, so play Anthony with confidence especially sine his price is so affordable compared to other elite SF options. ∗∗

Gordon Hayward-Utah Jazz (7,400): Hayward has jumped right back in for the Jazz and become a big part of their offense every night. He had his most well-rounded stat line since returning last night in Orlando finishing with 20 points, ten rebounds, and eight assists. It was his second straight game with over 40 fantasy points. He has scored at least 20 points in each of his four games and should be a very solid play again tonight in Miami as the Jazz try to beat the Heat to finish their East Coast trip 4-1.

Andrew Wiggins-Minnesota Timberwolves (6,500): Wiggins posted two nice games and a dud on the T-Wolves three-game road trip. he only managed 13.1 fantasy points against the Thunder, but then hung 46.6 fantasy points on the Nets and 40.8 fantasy points on the Magic to finish the trip. Wiggins definitely has the potential to go off when he adds assists and rebounds  to his scoring like he has the last two games, and he’ll look to keep things rolling as the Wolves come home tonight to take on the red-hot Clippers.

Otto Porter-Washington Wizards (6,500): Porter will be asked to carry the offensive load tonight against the Bulls with John Wall resting and Bradley Beal also hurting. Porter had a monster game against the Celtics on Wednesday with 34 points and 14 rebounds for 68.8 fantasy points. He came back to earth with 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists, and a block for 28.1 fantasy points last night against the Cavs. Porter definitely has potential to carry the team, but the game could also turn ugly and he play fewer than his regular minutes. He’s high-risk, high-upside at this price tonight.

T.J. Warren-Phoenix Suns (6,100): Warren has cooled off recently as well with under 20 points in three of his last four games. He still has over 30 fantasy points in three of his last five, though, and in a good matchup against the Nets who are allowing the fifth-most fantasy points per game to opposing SF. He should be a solid investment at 6K.
