This has been the epitome of a forgettable season for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. What do I mean by this? Well, Notre Dame began the season ranked No. 10 in the AP Poll, but have since dropped drastically, posting a 3-6 record through nine games.
Brian Kelly’s seat has gotten a bit warmer, but many believe that his job is safe. As long as DeShone Kizer is there, the offense will be in good hands. The elite quarterback has passed for 2,261 yards and 19 touchdowns and has a rocket for an arm. He also has 368 yards and seven rushing scores.
Replacing Will Fuller wasn’t going to be easy, but Equanimeous St. Brown has done a fantastic job. The breakout receiver has caught a team-best 42 passes for 745 yards and eight touchdowns.
Racing off to a 3-0 start this season, the Army Black Knights have since come back down to earth. In fact, they are just 2-4 in their last six games and it’s tough to really tell how good or bad they are with a couple of close losses — they could easily be 7-2 right now.
Army has made its name by playing tough, hard-nosed football. Most of the Black Knights’ yardage comes on the ground as they average over 300 rushing yards per game. They are less than 200 yards away from posting 3,000 on the year.
Andy Davidson leads the team in rushing with 707 yards and seven touchdowns while quarterback Ahmad Bradshaw is right behind him. He has passed for 565 yards and three scores, but has rushed for 602 yards and five touchdowns.
