DraftKings NBA Picks for November 13
There are only four games in the main DraftKings tournament tonight. There is one afternoon game, but that is not included in the large tournament. Our options are limited tonight, but we still have some high-priced options on the board.

DraftKings is making one very important change for the 2016-2017 season. For some strange reason, they gave up their only advantage over FanDuel for NBA games. DraftKings decided to lock ALL games when the contest starts just as FanDuel does. Trust me, this has burned me more than once in the early going so far. I’m sure it has you as well.
The big difference now between FanDuel and DraftKings is the lineups. FanDuel has one more slot, but you are confined to two of every position except center, where you get one. On DraftKings, you get a starting five plus a G, F, and UTIL. This is still an advantage over FanDuel because we can play two centers even though the roster is smaller!

Point Guards
Best Bets:
Stephen Curry ($9,200): Honestly, I’m not sure I trust Westbrook to get 5x value against a Magic team that has allowed the least fantasy points to point guards this year. Westbrook is a unique talent, but I would much rather spend on Curry in a fast-paced game against the Suns. He has a much better chance of reaching value than Westbrook does.
Damian Lillard ($8,700): Aside from a disaster against the Clippers last week, Lillard has had over 38 DraftKings points in every game. The Nuggets give up points freely to opposing point guards, so Lillard could be in line for a big game. Maybe even bigger than Curry.
Honorable Mention:
Eric Bledsoe ($7,100): This promises to be a high scoring game, so with only 35.5 DraftKings points needed for 5x value, Bledsoe shouldn’t disappoint with a price this low. If you plan on fading the top tier, Bledsoe is a very good option.
Emmanuel Mudiay ($5,900): Mudiay has quietly had a nice year so far. Portland has given up the fourth most fantasy points to point guards this season. Mudiay has reached over 5x value six times in eight games. He is a lock to do it again.
Dark Horse:
Jordan Clarkson ($5,000): Clarkson is averaging 5.6x value on the season, and that even factors in a horrible game in which he failed to break ten DraftKings points. Clarkson routinely provides 6x value. That is a distinct possibility again tonight against Minnesota.
My pick: Lillard(PG), Clarkson(UTIL)

Shooting Guards
Best Bets:
C.J.McCollum ($7,300): McCollum has topped 50 DraftKings points three times in his last four games. The one time he didn’t was against the Clippers, who have put the clamps on everyone. McCollum should get plenty of open shots against Denver. He may not hit 50 again, but he could be close.
Zach LaVine ($6,500): Ricky Rubio returned last night, but there is a good chance that he will be under his usual minutes in the second night of a back to back. That should open things up more for LaVine. The Lakers don’t defend the perimeter well. LaVine should get plenty of chances to hit his value tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Klay Thompson ($6,100): Thompson is mostly dependent on scoring to get value, but this will be a high scoring game. Phoenix is also the worst in the league at defending the SG slot. Thompson could be in line for a huge game in a high scoring affair.
Evan Fournier ($5,500): Fournier has been the most consistent offensive force for the Magic, and he isn’t even all that consistent. In his last two games, he struggled against Minnesota and blew up on Utah, so you never really know what you’re going to get. However, the Thunder have allowed the sixth most fantasy points to shooting guards, so on paper Fournier should have a good night
Dark Horse:
Brandon Knight ($4,400): Knight should see plenty of run in a fast paced game. He is also the best source of offense on the second team. He has had at least 6x value in each of his last three games. This should be four.
My pick: McCollum(SG), Thompson(G)

Small Forwards
Best Bets:
Kevin Durant ($9,100): For the price, Durant could provide a lot of bang for the buck. The only issue could be if the game turns into a blowout. His average is still at 49.5 DraftKings points per game, but he has only topped that twice in the last five games. Food for thought.
T.J. Warren ($6,700): Warren hasn’t hit 5x value in the last three games. However, the Warriors have given up the most fantasy points to small forwards so far, so there is a great chance that he gets back to 5x value tonight.
Honorable Mention:
Andrew Wiggins ($6,600): Wiggins has been on fire in the last three games. He has racked up 127.5 DraftKings points in that span. The Lakers have done well against small forwards so far, but can you ignore Wiggins when he is this hot?
Dark Horse:
Wilson Chandler ($4,700): Chandler has been consistent so far this year. He has also been over 30 DraftKings points in three of the last four games. His play is getting better, and he is getting a consistent minutes load. He is a safe value option tonight.
My pick: Warren(SF), Chandler(F)

Power Forwards
Best Bet:
Draymond Green ($8,000): You want consistency? Green has been between 35 and 44 DraftKings points in every game but the opener when he hit 55. He doesn’t have the high ceiling with Kevin Durant around, but he is the most consistent player out there.
Julius Randle ($6,400): Randle has upped his assist numbers too, which makes him a lock for 5x value, and he has approached 6x a few times in the last week. The Timberwolves are decent up front, but if Randle is handing out assists too, 5x value shouldn’t be a problem.
Honorable Mention:
Serge Ibaka ($5,100): Ibaka will return to Oklahoma City tonight. Will the homecoming help him out of the funk he has been in all season? It’s not all his fault. The Magic offense has been a disaster all year.
Kenneth Faried ($5,000): Faried’s minutes have been horribly inconsistent, but his play lately should keep him on the court more. He has been right at 5x value over his last four games.
Dark Horses:
Domantas Sabonis ($4,000): Sabonis only has to hit 20 DraftKings points for 5x value. He has been between 16 and 32 DraftKings points in every game since Ersan Ilyasova was traded. That is still a large gap, but it leaves him at the very least 4x value. That means a pretty low risk factor here.
Marquess Chriss ($3,300): The injury to Tyson Chandler has given Chriss more court time, and he has done pretty well with it. The Warriors are the worst in the league at allowing fantasy points to centers, so Chriss or Alex Len could be good options tonight.
My pick: Green(PF)

Center
Best Bets:
Karl-Anthony Towns ($8,300): Towns started the year slowly, but he has been a beast lately. I don’t care who he is playing right now. He has turned into an elite option. He has been over 5x value in all but one game in his last five, and he was just barely under in the one he missed. He will be the highest scoring center on the board if you can afford him.
Honorable Mention:
Mason Plumlee ($5,200): Plumlee has hit 5x value in all but one of his last eight games. He struggled in the opener, but he has been consistent lately. Consistent enough that he is a relatively low risk bargain option.
Dark Horse:
Timofey Mozgov ($3,500): Mozgov will never be an elite fantasy option, but he can hold his own when the matchup is right. The Timberwolves have given up the eighth most fantasy points to centers so far this year, so if you are bargain shopping, you could do worse.
My pick: Mozgov(C)
