On Sunday, the Los Angeles Rams defeated the New York Jets 9-6, and it was not pretty, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Ah. Finally, we are put out of our misery. I don’t mind low scoring games, not at all. In fact, I typically prefer low scoring, defensive affairs. But these two teams are not good. Bless Tod Bowles soul, and hopefully in the near future the Jets can get this man a quarterback. They are in dire need of one, and this team’s struggles are beyond the head coach.

So from here, what’s next for the Rams? They escape with a win and are now 4-5, technically still alive in the playoff hunt. The end their four-game losing streak and keep their heads above water. They’re the worst of the four win teams, though, and it’s hard to get excited about this team.

Bryce Petty played, well, better than Ryan Fitzpatrick likely would have. The Jets are in a tough scenario though with their quarterback position spiraling out of control. Petty was 19/32 for 163 yards, a touchdown, and a pick. Finding three stars for this game was tough but here we go.

Three Stars

1-Kenny Britt

Really the only” bright spot” for an otherwise lackluster Rams offense was receiver Kenny Britt. He was predominately guarded by Darrelle Revis and racked up yards on him. In total, Britt had 109 yards, including a 46-yard catch. He had seven receptions. He was targeted 10 times.

2-Steve McLendon

The nose tackle had 1.5 sacks, and two tackles for loss. He looked like the only Jets defensive linemen that was getting consistent pressure.

3-Greg Zuerlein

Well, he basically won the game for the Rams single-handedly. He was 3/3 on field goals from distances of 38, 34, and 20 yards. If he missed one of them, this game could still be going on.

Highlights

Odds

New York was a two-point favorite at home against Los Angeles. The Jets again failed to cover the spread.
