Supreme Ruler of the College Football Universe

Let’s not kid ourselves. The SEC has had a down season in 2016. The only redeeming thing the conference can hang its hat on is that it has the best team in football. Who in the Power 5 is going to beat the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide?

After the weekend of upsets, who knows? Clemson, Michigan, and Washington all lost. Teams like the Ohio State Buckeyes and maybe even the Louisville Cardinals could be difficult matchups for Alabama.

Urban Meyer has been the only head coach that can out-scheme Saban regularly. Saban also struggles with mobile quarterbacks. Clemson’s Deshaun Watson gave him trouble in the 2016 College Football Playoff. Imagine would could happen if Alabama meets Lamar Jackson in the National Semifinals?

Barring anything unforeseen, Alabama is getting in the Playoff. The bigger question is if they will be 15-0 at the end of the season?
