125. Whether you like it or not, the Atlanta Hawks are still good at basketball. Ever since Mike Budenholzer was hired in 2013 the Hawks have transformed into the East Coast version of the San Antonio Spurs. They are showcasing that the transformation is all but complete now with their start to the 2016-17 season. Despite losing two of their biggest names in the offseason–Al Horford and Jeff Teague–things are running right on schedule in Atlanta. Dwight Howard and Dennis Schroeder have filled in for the departed with little to no mistakes in the process. The Hawks have been just a step below the league’s elite the last few years, but following a road victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers they are looking more and more like they belong to be mentioned with the NBA’s upper echelon..
